At GH nation we are all about good food, good drink and good company. We are open 360 days a year and we’ve got something for everyone! Do you want to sing in our choir, run with our sports society or learn to mix cocktails in a bar?

About the nation

Gästrike-Hälsinge nation, or GH, is a medium sized nation in Uppsala. Our pub, well-stocked library and cosy garden make it easy to spend time here, making it feel like a home away from home. During the daytime we have 70 available study spots in our library. Ghuben is our regular pub, TrädGHården is our summer restaurant, open from June-August.

Ghuben is open every day and features the largest collection of beer out of all the nations in Uppsala, with around 150 different types of beer. We also have a fantastic range of burgers for everyone. On Saturdays from 11-15 we offer American pancakes in our fika Pannkaksbaren, the perfect way to brunch your way into the weekend!

Besides a high-quality food and drinks we have many societies for cultural activities – the choir, tasting society, jazz band, board game society, sports society, theatre group and our nation newspaper. The best way to get to know the nation and its members is to get involved. By becoming a clubworker, functionary or by joining the societies. No matter what you enjoy, you are always welcome here – our friendly members are always looking for new faces to be a part of our GH family!

 

Membership fee per semester: 260 kr

The nation's housing

Gästrike-Hälsinge Nation’s Foundation for Student Housing rents out 174 rooms, 25 doublets, 5 rooms with a kitchenette and 24 apartments at Studentvägen in Uppsala, along with 24 apartments in the newly built houses in Ekonomikumparken in Uppsala.
